I think most people would definitely want to hear what I am about to say. The problem is, that most people already know what the solution is to the health problems that plague our society. Exercise!! The study is not suggesting that we replace and get rid of all drugs and just exercise. What the article is suggesting is that exercise should be a much more viable treatment method in everyone’s life. It is prevention! I believe that if we took our health more seriously and did some form of activity daily, that we as a society would probably not have the epidemic of health problems in America.
So, now that we have heard it again, why is it so hard for us to change? Don’t believe the lie that it is too late! Don’t let yourself be deceived into thinking it is going to be too hard. How hard will life be when you have arthritis, cancer, or another health problem? It is all about tackling your goals with one small habit at a time. Could you go walk 5 minutes today? What is one thing in your life that you possess 90% confidence that you could accomplish. What is so easy that you would say, “Yes, of course I could do that.” Start with that right there and move forward one week at a time.
Find something that you have passion about, something that motivates you, and fix your mind to that! You don’t have to go to a gym. Find an activity you do enjoy. If you enjoy books, then get on a bike or treadmill and read it. If you enjoy baking, walk to the grocery store and get your groceries (and then bring us some).
