Lower Body Module: April 22-23, 2017
Upper Body Module: May 20-21, 2017
Trunk & Spine Module: June 10-11, 2017
What is it?
This 3 course series will teach you the concepts and theories behind MAT™ Jumpstart. Through range of motion evaluation, you will be able to identify areas of biomechanical imbalances within the Lower Body, Upper Body, and Trunk & Spine. Then, through specific positional testing, you will be able recognize positional biomechanical imbalances and areas of vulnerability to injury. By using corrective exercises, including isometrics and reinforcements, you will be able to provide your client with an appropriate exercise routine and help them to decrease these imbalances.
Why should I take the course?
- Offer clients a solution that addresses the muscular system role in their chronic pain and injury
- Objectively evaluate, identify, and adjust biomechanical and muscular imbalances using knowledge of sports science in the human body
- See how certain forms of exercise may lead to dysfunction and how to correct it
Who is the course for?
All students who have taken all three Jumpstart modules are eligible to take the Jumpstart Test in an effort to become MAT JUMPSTART CERTIFIED. Jumpstart Certification testing is conducted at the end of the Trunk and Spine module during each series.
